How to build trust with new employees dealing with VAW..

We all know how painful and frustrating it is to loose a new employee after a few months. You spent time with them⌛ teaching them 📚 team members spent time 👩‍💻 👨‍💻 👩‍💻 ... you invested in them!!
So loosing them is a cost no one likes to bare.. plus you have to do it all over again because the position is still open : (((

We just had the coolest talk with our friend and "partner in crime to change the world" - Zohar Cohen Beychok and her amazing approach on the matter from a whole other angle!!
Let's start with are a few facts..

1. 1 out of 3 women in Israel has suffered #domesticviolence . Yep. That's literally a 1/3 of the women population!!!
2. Survivors of domestic violence deal with specific #trauma that makes it super challenging for them to hold onto a job for more than #6months 🚧
3/ There's a way to handle it and it's SUPER easy!!! Says Zohar⚡

1 in 3 women are in domestic violence

So yeah.. statistically - a 1/3 is a LOT of #talent you might be missing out on! And believe us - if they survived it - they're super hero's and you WANT to #invest in them! Being a leading company - you want to invest in your employees wellbeing cause their #productivity actually relies on it! And so does your success 😎
So what are the simple magic tricks?!!! Here are 3 small tips from Zohar to start with.. it's all about building trust and it's not the same for her/him #wonderwisdom
1. Set a #6months buffer time to building trust. Biologically - that's the time it takes.

2. Respect her #time! Things like canceling a meeting 10 min before can be a technical no-brainer for you but for her - a trigger point. So just be open and communicative about it.

3. If your new employee had a reaction that seems exaggerated to you - #breathe. Take a step back. Don't let it get to your ego and let her sleep on it to chill. Get back to her when your both calmed down - she might have a really good reason for her reaction and it has NOTHING to do with you.

So I guess what we're trying to say is don't give up right away! There's a win win waiting for you right around the corner when you #invest in your #employeewellbeing 🌠
